Our first-time home buyers started looking for a place to call home amidst a pandemic and an incredibly hot housing market. With one of them working in the west end of Ottawa and the other working from home, they decided to look a little bit outside the city in favor of the space the outskirts had to offer and fell in love with the community in Carleton Place. When they found the right home, we went through the area sales in great detail and agreed on a price that was reasonable without over-paying, but made sure to hit the ideal closing date for the sellers. As a buy-side team, we requested the opportunity to present the offer directly to the sellers over Zoom, and it resulted in the offer being accepted in a multiple-offer situation. The result? Happy buyers who were able to get an amazing home well under their top budget.
